Kr running issues

ive just put a kr in my caddy and can’t get it running properly, it’s hunting on tickover and cutting out briefly when accelerating then coming back , it’s had ne fuel pump accumulator filter and fuel lines , checked for air leaks , checked plugs and leads , checked wiring loom came with engine , seems to be running hot and smelling of fuel any help appreciated  

how much fuel does it have in it? mine would cut out if it had less than 1/2 a tank in as the swirl pot in the tank was disconnected inside. think it will be a common issue as its a rubber hose in the tank that fell apart.


also might need fuelling adjusted on the metering head, what idle control are you using?

this was the pipe that connects the swirl pot to the fuel outlet inside the tank

you can see parts of the rubber connector pipe in the swirl pot. my fuel pump would get noisy when it sucked up air
