Fuel sender

Post

Hello all,

I've seen a few posts on the forums and also on my own project posts about fuel senders.

I'm looking to replace mine but everywhere I've looked (Heritage, few local auto factors) seem to be out of stock.

Any advice or anyone holding one?

You didn't say what Year, Model, Fueling type (injected, CIS, Digifant, or Carbed).

As that looks rather clean, yes your one hose for the return line is missing and the other appears to be rotted off with age.

And why are you looking for a Sender, as if the Tank to Gauge isn't right or off, then usually clean the Pot, and wiper arm is the fix.

Ah….

1989 1.8 petrol. Fitted with Webber carb.

Yeah I spoke about it before rotted off and seen it elsewhere.

I want to replace it, as the one I've taken off is done for. I've taken the tank off and cleaned out, going through the lines as well but need the sender

Use a DVOM, as the sender is the float, arm and PCB, they get dirty and have cold solder joints.

Any recommendations where to get one?

maybe off a polo but the connector is straight up, and not horizontal.
