VW ACTION - Santa Pod

Is anyone going to VW Action at Santa pod its on from
Friday 4th - Sunday 6th September 2009

or if anyone is sorting something out, let me know!!

hi there YES i will be going to action in my mk1 and campervan also some of my aircooled mates will be going down as well in a beetle and carmen ghia dont think our paths will cross on the way there but will be in the show and shine and if you fancy joinin a group of mad ish party people going for a good time you might want to camp near as well if so pm me when your going ie wknd or days matt

Probably going to this one so if we have enough interest we could do a stand.

I'm sure Zambeaky, Parker and funk-star (and his crew   ) will go dibbler too if he aint got something on!!  Bring it up next Tuesday at the Milton Keynes meet mate loads of us will probably be up for it as someone mentioned it last time (might have been you  :dontknow:  at the meet and there was a lot of interest)….

I'll probably be going to this on the Saturday mate, might even join in the Show and Shine with the Cabby.

It will be here before we know it and as I don't have access to the Committee section as of today i can't flag it up in there. So any current Committee know what's happening here or shall we just not have any stand?…

so if someone would like to start to arrange one that that would be a big help to the current committee

I'd love to but will only be there for one day at the most, there is interest though and as one of the last shows of the year we ought to have as many members and cars there as possible and end the year on a high!

do the guys going want a club display stand and club camping or just a club stand ?????

might be worth considering

i probably will not be going but i have emailed to organisers and they have asked if we want a club stand and club camping, they need numbers by 25th august so if you can post up if you will be attending and if you want to be in club camping and on the stand .

as you know we still dont have an events manager, (job descriptions will be up tonigh tbefore anyone asks) so if anyone going to the event fancies organising the show stand then that would be great - Mrslawsy has emailed Brian Burrows, the organiser and he's asked if we want just club camping, or club camping and a club stand

If its anyting like last year, club camping was good, but the club stand was just a row of us parked in the main field,and as VW action is mainly an air cooled show we got stuck a little out of the way and was almost swamped by the Type 3 club

As its the same weekend as Ed 38 - a few may be going to that instead - Dano's emailed simon sweetland ref a standED38 - they knocked stand on the head a couple of years ago as they found peopel would book, but not show etc etc - advice for that is just to show up

I'm not sure which show we'll be going to if any, especially as they the same weekend, but if anyone who is defo going to Action wants to stick up their hand and offer to organise it, then that would be great

As to banners/gazebos/flags etc, then I've got the banner and flag, if anyone wants to take to the show let me know and maybe we can meet somewhere, bear in mind tho that I'm just west of reading..

As to last show of the season, there's a few more to come yet.. Players is usually good turn out, again not really club displays tho

I wont be there, but once peopel have name son list, mayeb someone may be intersted in actually organising the display
