Retro Rides Gathering 2019 - Sun 18th August

Hi everyone,

Following the success of last years show, i wanted to gauge interest on doing another club display this year.

If you could let me know that you will be coming, i can make sure that we have enough room allocated to the club, they had a lot of space last year so it's open to as many mk1s as possible whether it's a show car or a daily, feel free to come along!

"The Retro Rides Gathering returns again to the historic Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb in Worcestershire. As always we will bring together our mix of club stands and RWYB hillclimb action, along with invited guest cars, retro parking, trade stands, prizes and our great laid back atmosphere."

£10 purchased in advance (Link to Retro Rides Website for day tickets)
£15 on the gate.

Taking Anna's list and adding to it! Seems like we're going to have to request some more space, should be an amazing turn out!

If anyone else would like to get join us for the day, if you could let me know by Friday (2nd August) and i'll make sure we have the right space available!

Just over a week to go!

Last day to buy tickets in advance is today, they're £5 cheaper if bought beforehand too which could be better spent on a beer instead!

I've been sent passes by the organisers that will get everyone onto the club stand, they've asked for me to pass these out to you beforehand. You'll still need to buy a ticket!

Could everyone that isn't listed below please send me their address ASAP so i can get these passes sent out to you before next weekend.

I think we are aiming for about 8.45 to 9am, we are coming from the North, meeting at The Robin Hood, Droitwich at 8am👍

Ok brilliant! I’ll see what the wifes doing might be a bit early for her and the little one. But im only 10mins away from the robin hood. So i’ll find out and let u no .

Thanks for those who sent their addresses. I sent the last of the passes out on Tuesday so hopefully they will be with you today or tomorrow.

If they don't arrive in time, i've got some spare which i could hand out on the day if needed or otherwise just ask to be guided to the MK1OC stand on arrival.
 
The rabble from SW / South Wales should be getting there for about 9:30am / 10:00am. I don't think i sent out any passes down this way as i'll meet most on the convoy up.

Our times are below for anyone else that may join us:
- Magor services M4 (jct 24a) @ 8:00am
- Michaelwood services M5 @ 8:30am

I've still got 4 passes spare for anyone that wants to join us last minute!

There were even more mk1s dotted all over the show ground too. Anyone who wasn't on the stand make sure you come and say hello next time. We're a friendly bunch with tea and cake!

Thank you CabrioAnna for your expertise organising these events (and for the below photo) and i promise i'll park the cars better next year!

Can anyone spot where Anna and the team went for breakfast and left us to park up on our own….?

Thank you both for sorting it out! I was on the club stand and didnt get chance to say hi to anyone! So many cars to look round plus i spent all day chasing my toddler round! Lol.
