NEC Classic Motor Show 14/15/16th November

As mentioned at the AGM we have been successful in having a stand at this years Classic Motor Show at NEC Birmigham.

The Theme of this years show is "Launches" Celebrating the Launch or the year of your car.

Our plan will be to have 4 or 5 cars

we require one of the following

1. Early series1 1974 /75 build date………TBC - Simon
2. Early GTi series1 ……….Dubboy, 79 gti ENT
3. Early Cabriolet ……..
4. Series2   …..  YOMP,Black Gti :notworthy:
5. Cabriolet Clipper or Series2 (Gti/non Gti depending on 4)

Please post if you can help or volunteer another members car to fill the spaces.

Standard cars only please,

You will be required to bring your car to birmingham on the thursday 13th november and collect on sunday evening, tickets will also be available FOC for those that display their vehicles.

Rajan had a good look around it at Billing.

Let me know what it needs to get it up to scratch and I'll get it sorted.

can anyone recommend a half-decent hotel near the NEC for someone flying in and out ?
i.e. cheap but either ok to stay in, or within a short taxi ride ?

on the complex the train station/airport/nec and several hotels are together..

I stayed at teh travel inn once and thehilton another time TBH the travel inn was nicer (no idea on costs tho as company paid)

would be willing to bring up My Golf Gti Rivage Le 1993 55k if any use please let me know

(If you want it for the show I put on my brand new set of Le castellet wheels that I have found in Vw old Stock!!)

To be considerred for the club stand you need to be a full member

Well it doesn't say member next to your name. Can you PM me details of when you paid and your full name and I can look into it.

Pete as pointed out a few lines above, then you need to be a member to get your car on club stands etc
