Lancaster NEC Classic Car show 14th-16th November 2014 - come and see us at the show!

Just under 2 weeks to go now until our end of season finale, the club has been busy preparing over the last 6 months to get our stand organised to celebrate our 10th Anniversary and 40 years of the Mk1 Golf. We have an exceptional array of cars and have managed to secure a 5 car stand.

The cars that will be representing the club have been chosen from winners at our AGM 2014 and we also welcome some new faces who have not shown with us before.

This years 'movie' theme has inspired us to produce a film strip display of the ever evolving guise of the mk1 from the first in 1974, up until present day from original GTI to heavily modified, including one of the first show scene cars to hit the UK.

Tim Goodwin -  Super clean low mileage 1989 Cabrio. Tim has owned this car since 1999 and it has only ever been to 4 shows in 15 years, so we are really glad that Tim contacted us offering the use of his car for the show. Great to have another new face on the stand.


Matthew Towndrow -This car goes back quite a way-  ''The  first best engine award for a water-cooled car at Bug Jam, but thoroughly deserved nonetheless, this was in factory-clean, but with extra polish and super-tidy'' from the 2008 Bug Jam 22 report, I remember it well!
We welcome Matthew to the club, being the new owner of this fab car.

I will be going Friday, so will pop over and say hello  

Not sure which day that I am going but looking forward to it Top cars as always

going sat with a mate , your stand will b top of my list  

Will be great to see you all, remember to hand your ticket stubs in at the stand, we can claim £1 per stub back for club funds    

We shall be coming on the Sunday

Very excited, will be there sat and sunday! Can't wait!!

Make sure you all bring plenty of pennies as there will be loads of MK1 goodies to buy from the shop!

Hi all, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has been involved in this year's show, from Anna, Elv and the Committee members to the people who kindly donated their cars and time for the full weekend.

Also, thank you to all the other helpers and of course, you - the members who came and supported us over the weekend.

It was a great show and next year should be even bigger with every hall at the NEC being used for it! There's photo threads up already so take a look at what you may have missed

I only made it yesterday - my first visit here for a few years ( ) and loved it, so looking forward to the next one.
