Bristol Volksfest Sunday meet

Guys il be coming from South Wales on the Sunday, are any of you in the same boat ?
Would anybody like to meet up and drive into the show together ?

Not sure yet if going sat or sun, if Sunday will arrange to meet up. I'm in Newport.

Make sure you head for the club stand entrance not general parking when you get to site and tell them you are with the Mk1 Golf Owners Club and they will direct you to the stand so you can park up with us.

There is also a Harvester up the road where we will be meeting on the Sat morning, I will post up the address in the other main thread soon , so if there is other coming on Sunday you could always meet up there

Guys on the Sunday, its always a very busy day footfall wise, so the organisers have said no car movement on the club stand / site after 9am, they might no be that flexible this year but last year they allowed it till 10 ish. So to make sure you can get your cars on the stand, and they don't send you into general parking try and get to the gate just b4 9am

jaaquo we will be meeting between 9-9.30 on the Sat morning then getting on the stand for 10am, I have spoken with organisers to let us get on the stand a little later on the Sat as people are driving down from Birmingham etc

On Sunday you need to be on stand by 9am really as they are not allowing moving of cars on the Sun between 9-3ish

Gutted sorry guys, had a starting issue at 6am , managed to get sorted but got to Bristol to late to join the club stand.....

ijs1985 did you come across to the stand? we had nearly 20 cars on the stand both days roughly. or do you mean Mk1's about in general elsewhere at the show ?

yes saw the stand and some nice cars. but 20 mk1s and maybe 6 mk2s was all i saw. although there was a mint mars red mk1 gti outside in the parking area. literally 95% vans though!!!
