Hi folks,
I am looking for some help with organising a meet with the GTI Classic Club who are active in Belgium and France. www.passiongolfgti.com
They are coming to England from 25th to 28th May 2017 and would love to meet up with members of our club, see their itinerary below, mainly around the Canterbury or Dover 27th/28th May in the afternoons.
If you can help with this and would like to get involved please post below or message me direct.
Thanks, Anna
From David……..
On May 2017 we will come with 20 Golf GTI and 40 persons for the first time in southern England for a 4 days touristic trip.
For most of the continental drivers, it will be the first time to travel through the Channel and to drive on the … good side of the road.
I would like to know if it possible to meet some english GTI fans - with their cars - on this special occasion ?
Here are some details of our program :
- 25/05/17 : in the morning we will cross the Channel with the Eurotunnel and we will visit the typical village of Rye (around midday)
In the afternoon direction the natural park of High Weald in other to join our hotel in Alton (North of Portsmouth).
- 26/05/17 : we will visit the Beaulieu motor museum in the morning; in the late afternoon, a small trip in the new forest and afterwards return to our hotel in Alton.
Before the evening lunch (at the hotel) there is a first opportunity to meet you.
- 27/05/17 : after the breakfast direction the South Downs National Park and we will visit the village & castel of Hever (Kent).
Around 4 or 5 pm, our group will leave the castel and we will take the direction of Canterbury.
Again and before the evening lunch there is a second opportunity to meet you there. Lunch in the neighborhood of Canterbury in a local pub.
- 28/05/17 : in the morning we will do some shopping in Canterbury and at 1pm we wil visit the Cathedral.
In the afternoon there is a third (maybe the best one? It’s Sunday) opportunity to meet the english GTI local fans in the neighborhood of Dover - Folkestone’s.
Why not a group picture along/near the Dover cliffs ? It would be very nice …
Our group will take the return train for France in the late evening.
Please don’t hesitate to give me your preference for an eventual meet.
And if your have other ideas or options, I will be very pleased to hear it.
I would like to keep the surprise for our group, so please don’t go/tell anything on our forum

Unfortunately not, as I am living in London and my time is very limited due to work…
If there is anyone else in London, we could go together?
