The runner up standard hatch was the wife of the runner up of best paint by the looks. I only know his forum name as rallye20v though!

I got runner up 'daily driver' with my 20v.
As Yomp mentioned my other Golf was runner up 'standard tin top'.
I didn't get to see my judging sheet for either car but I would have liked to :-(

Ok mate I shall update the list later. All the judging sheets were available at the end I mentioned it a few times during the presentation

I was the winner of best daily.

It was a close call between you and the winner in the best std hatchback but yours just wasn't clean enough to be awarded 1st in a concours competition and I only took that decision from entering my own in concours comps over the years and being marked down and losing for brake dust behind wheels etc etc.  The winner had put a lot of effort in but on all accounts there was room for improvement on all I judged.

Thanks for the feedback Yomp…i wasn't expecting too much of my standard one, as i said on the day i just ran out of time to give it a proper clean. My 20v sucked my time up and was in a million bits a couple of days before the show!! Thats what happens when you do everything yourself! Time management is not my greatest asset :-(
