Time to think about 2015 AG

So as many know the committee never sleeps and the planning and improvements have already started for next years AG

but there is a small snag in the matrix with next year, we cannot have our normal weekend!! The choices are

July 10th - 12th 2015

or

July 31st - 2nd August

What date would you want the AG to be on? please vote or comment

Not that my input matters much but I'd say late! 
So July 31st - 2nd August.

But I might just make it this time ⌚!

July 10th is before the end of term. If I remember rightly from my short time on the committee several years ago, after running the AGM during term time it was decided that after schools break up was better as too many families (and those of us working in schools) had issues with being able to get there on the Friday?

Plus doesn't that clash with Tatton??

id say late on, better with the kids off school

     

i;m going to add that the 2nd of august is Tatton park which is a heavly attended show for the club and mk1 owners

I'd be more inclined to go for the 10th - 12th July because it clashes with Tatton and what with school holidays guys will have booked by then rather than in term time, plus it's still a weekend regardless as if it was our normal dates the only difference being kids will have just broke up and it's the start of the holidays, so I'm going for the earlier dates.

Sorry to hear this guys must be frustrating !

After the years we have given Uttoxeter race course is there no way they can accommodate?, i'm guessing not, and i'm sure you guys have put the pressure on, shame though , you would have thought they were expecting us, I am sure the caravan club were  

I would be inclined to go with the earlier date in the hope the weather is better, but do we know what other shows might be on that weekend ?

The AGM would always win regardless of what show is on, even Bristol Volksfest for me wouldn't get priority over AGM but will be a shame if there is a well attended show that weekend by the Mk1 OC that has to come off the calendar

As always you cant please all, so whatever dates chosen I will be there !

the reason for the chane is that

on our normal weekend they have racing on the friday and then the monday meaning we fit nicely in the middle

the horse racing governing body or whoever decided what races and where have decided to move all monday racing to sunday

meaning the racecourse have not only had to change us but another 8 event during there year.. to say the least they are not happy with it either
