I went with Janspeed, and was very p****d off with the coilovers I got. They're the same as the hottuning ones but Janspeeds ebay adverts imply that they are specially developed by Janspeed.

Save yourself the ?80 difference and go for hottuning.

From experience I'd save the money and get proper ones, I got the cheap ebay ones and the were just that…

If you want ti low, then its bouncy, if you want a firm ride at say a 40mm drop then forget it, good for track i s'pose, but for road use, totally useless unless you dont want to keep you back woorking…

I found a set up with standardish height virtually undriveable on the road, foloowed another GTI with standard springs and i couldnt keep up on the bends as I was being bounced about too much…

if that dont make sense, drop me a pm and I'll send you my mobile number, will explain more to you then..

DONT BUY CHEAP if you wanna have fun….

I said to the wife that i would stop spending ??? on cars, hence looking at a cheap drop.

Talking to a guy i know today and he has FK's and he said that there a pile of poop, and he regrets buying them!! Thats on a polo tho.

I guess its each to there own, some like it hard, some like it slow and gentle

I like it fast n hard mate, but the ebay ones were far too hard for fast road use, unless all the roads near you are track like, I'd go for springs if wanting a cheap drop

HARD!  8O

I have got them set at the lowest I can get them though. My car literally skips along over bumps and my spine is in a million pieces. The car looks good though

They are the same kit as Hottuning sell though - made by Autoteknics/TAteknics. Have a search for the TAteknics website and you'll see that they offer a 'white label' service where they brand the product with the middlemans branding. So any company no matter how big or small can get their hands on them and charge 'X' amount based upon their reputation.

I've got a set of Spax springs to go on, but I'm getting as much ? per mile out of the coilovers first.
