VR6 conversion about to start what do i need?
Im looking to fit a VR6 into my 1.6d Caddy.
im looking to buy a complete vr6 car so I get all the loom and everything else I might need.
What else do I need I trawled the threads last night and didnt find out too much or wasnt looking in the right places.
I understand there is some cutting and welding involved will my fuel tank need changing or will flushing it out do the job?
regards
Paul

Not much info on the go but this will help you a load! A germany company called Epytec do a kit for all the motor mounts
http://www.epytec.de/product_info.php/products_id/582
If you need any help I have a few german mates that can translate for you.
Only thoughts I can lend are the obvious ones to be honnest, uprate the brakes and suspension to cope with the weight. You'll need to convert to hydraulic clutch to run the VR6 gearbox.
As for your tank. think you'll need some kind of swirl pot or accumulator so you don't run dry on fuel lobbing it around the bends but not sure whats in the caddy tank to be honest. Guessing you could use your exsisting tank so long as its flushed out.
Not much help but its a start!

Yep many thanks
That kit looks good
I also came across a Eurowise kit from the states but their web site has no contact info and I didn't wanna just buy the kit without checking a few bits first but that kit comes complete with modified drive shafts.

Just caddys kit is the same as epytec's as far as I can see… same photos the lot… all except for price!
£360 vs 219 euros!
Just caddys? Just expensive more like!

Patience, time ,cash err that should cover it
Speeding is like masturbation, everyone does it ,but it's not something you should record and put on the internet!!
