its only 6" wide so sod all with give you what you want, be different, run 185 or 195s and have proper chuncy tyres on there 8)

i'm with m7r i wouldn't bother stretching on a 6 inch wide wheel, as once the stretch is done your only gonna have a tiny contact area with the road and terrible handling. You need at least a 7 inch wide wheel before you start stretching tyres. I was gonna stretch some on my p-slots but opted against it. Ive got 185s on looks good and handles great.

yeh i spose!
i didnt rally think about the coverage of tyre on the road i would have !
i guess they will still look sweet with a nice 185 45 or sumthing! cus they will be spaced to et18 with the 20 mm 5x100 adapters

dude you may not wish to run a micra on 165's but honda despite making bad cars decided to run with a 190bhp civic type R and use as a manufacturer tyre the bridgestone 165/50x15,now why would that be a problem on even a mk1 8v GTi?have you ever tried an RE 040 165 on a mk1?Personally ive ran toyo track tyres yoko road tyres amongst the numerous high end tyres ive ran and seriously rate these tyres for feedback, grip, let go notification promise and general performance(poss exception being the 3500 miles i get out a set). My only gripe with 165/50's is they can be seriously crashy over any!! kind of bump/hole
funkstar if you do split i paid 120 for the last brand new/used RE040's i got. The guy i got them bought em for a set of rims but didnt like the stretch so they were proper dimpled up new/used

From “tyre stretch help...”
I know this is a really old post but have you still got any photos of these wheels?
I have them on my car now but the tyres just look too big and rub on the arches.
