Started my 20v conversion today in my mk1 caddy

Right, finally after months of working like a mad man, things have slowed off, so i'm having a little time off. After months of spending and collecting stuff for the swap, i've taken out my leaky 8v lump
I think i've got everything covered, so if you lot can think of anything i've missed…..just holler!

Things i've completed :

Upgraded brakes, 280mm discs/ calipers/ new hubs/ goodridge hoses- all round/ new rear cylinders/ 9" servo/ 22mm master.

New dash, gti seats( need recovering though) new carpets, new custom bed cover( needs pop studs)

Things to do, things i've got :

100mm driveshafts ( 100mm output flanges, have been fitted to 02J box)

20v lump, been stripped and painted, K03s turbo to be fitted when fitting kit gets delivered…bought of the bay for £25

Universal intercooler front mount, sourced off the bay.

Vr6 clutch, g60 flywheel ( need new stretch bolts x 6 )

Sytec 350 bhp external fuel pump, new sytec fast flow filter, 10m of reinforced rubber fuel lines.

Oil pressure gauge, boost gauge, amp meter to be fitted ( with all associated wiring/ tubes)

Throttle cable 1.3 litre

Before engine goes in, fabricate and install clutch master cylinder and remote reservoir in scuttle, change 02J plastic slave to corrado g60 metal slave and pipe up in 3/16 copper. Sourced a cute 6mm clevis/ pin off the bay, usually used for go carts, to connect the master cylinder to clutch pedal.

Remove scuttle from bay

Mount new coolant bottle from mk 4( globe type)

Qpeng downpipe sourced, need a 02 sensor.

Using OEM management and wiring, just about finished the loom. Will carry out final connections later on.

Mk2 gti radiator being used, need to make new brackets.

Are there any heat sheilds, i need to fabricate??

Expanding nuts needed to fix badgeless grill.

Wheres best to mount ecu?

Wire up my brand new 150 amp mig to a commando plug from garage consumer unit

Take the wife out for a meal, to aplogise for the all the money and little white lies, i've been telling……..well! …..i NEED IT love!!

Oh, some of those flowery things to hang off me rear vew mirror!

Dive in lads, what have i forgot????

How did you remove the 100mm output flanges, from the 020? and fit them to the 02J box?

Isnt the K03s a direct bolt on to the AGU? and what fitting kit do you need?

i am using an o2j box(agu) is it better to do away with the dual mass and fit the Vr6 clutch, g60 flywheel ( need new stretch bolts x 6 ) and do you have pics or details of the stretch bolts??

i have seen people use the ibiza cable gear change mech for hydro boxes, is this suitable?

is it better to use the mk2 16v rad or the mk1 1.5 topfill??

I have fitted a KO3s directly onto my AGU and it is a straight swap. I have upgraded the actuator to a Forge one for peace of mind whilst doing it.

I have gone for the MK2 rad but have heard of some using the 1.5 topfill. Not sure how up to the job it is when you start playing about with the engine and upping the power.

what fan or fans have you used with your mk2 rad

I haven't got them yet mate. I am still researching and need to measure up and work out if I should go for one decent sized fan or 2 smaller ones.

Pacet slimline fans have been recommended to me but haven't looked much further at this stage as I say.
