Spraying car - looking for info and paint
Can someone tell me where the best place is to get VW paint from? - I am in the london middlesex area.
I'm after Black paint for my cab - code: L041 and other paint for a non VW car..
Also any information on different ways of spraying and paint types too would be useful - trying to expand my spraying skills, any website links and courses would help as well.
thanks. Si

The spraying skill is a difficult one, also its all in the preperation of the body to be painted, and the main thing is the quality of the equiptment, the spray gun especially, also the capacity of the compressor,if it is too small you will loose pressure half way through.

A local motor factor will mix it up for you.
It'll be worth doing a search on here about painting because there have been lots of posts about it in the past.
Unless you get all the correct gear (breathing aparatus) then you'll probably be best off getting cellulose paint and not 2 pack.
Cheers,
Ross

If you want it done properly buy a kit car mag or practical performance car or something. that should have a list of people advbertising.

what ever you do do not paint it in cellulose as it will only shine for about a week and will not come out proper black little tip 4 u L041 is nothing but black most paint suppliers keep a 2pac black gloss on the shelf for under a tenner a litre !(but will charge about 25 + vat a litre to mix? lo41) this will not need laquering but will need flat polishing then mopping after that just polish it when you can and it will stay shinny and black not fade and look brown  any questions pm me i know a fair bit about painting and have just done a full paint job on my car cheers
