Speedo Cable Issue

I've just bought a secondhand speedo that has what looks like a push fitting for the speedo cable, but the fitting on mine is a screw thread. My question is……… if I get a push fit cable will the other end be the same fitting as my old screw thread cable?   :?

you need a late speedo cable, ask for 1983 one to match the engine fitted to your car you'll be reet
