Easy enough to do with the right bits, though I would not recomend it.
Looks naff and doesn't work particularly well, plus means you drilling a new hole in the scuttle and having to fill the old two!

You would be wise not to it but if your going to. You can buy a kit (90 -100). Or make your own single conversion:
IN a Nut shell You need to increase the throw of the level connected to the wiper motor by 10mm (use an arc welder). Then chop down the wiper assy so the connection levers clear the wiper bracket. You can than fit a blanking crommet over the disused hole. The only problem is that the wiper motor assy than vibrates alot.

I used a scirocco storm unit, though a little tricky, had to make a bracket and modify the wiring to plug it in using spade connectors!!!

ran to a problem with my car.
the panel where the wiper comes through before the bonnet and at tht botton of the windscreen has two holes usually
my car only had one! and i mean one smack in the middle and i cant see where the other holes have been welded.
so i went and bought a wiper motor which i thought ide modigy but hte middle arm bit doesnt even match up to the existing hole!" is there an explanation to this??

Technically, the car should fail the MoT on lack of driver's view of the road, if it has a single wiper (assuming its plonked in the middle of the screen, whilst off).

Mate, if you fail the MoT, you can't drive the car on the road! Doesn't it put you off? Its not like a decat or something, its not easily reversible. You'd have to re-drill the original holes; or modify/replace the linkage another time, just for the MoT.

ive got a single wiper on mine and i used a fiat uno wiper motor. very easy mod wiring is a bit tricky and i had to make a little brace under the scuttle to stop it flexing. or you could use a mk1 scirocco motor.
