Shifter Tower Mounted Inside Car

Hi,

I have mounted my 02a shifter tower inside the car. I was wondering what people have done for the center console as the selector cut out and leather cover are too small to fit the new tower position. I think I heard somewhere about a corrado one maybe being larger.

What have people done about this?

I know its not exactly ideal, but I cut the hell out of mine as am going to make my own gator out if faux leather. 

Thats what I'm thinking mate, for the time being at least. Not sure if there would be any center console left if I make the hole large enough to fit around the tower
