Respraying new alloys

Hi all,
         i got these yesterday for ?85 for full set, i know they are not the proper bbs type, but do you think they will look ok on my mk1.



Also i am unsure wether to leave them silver or go black :dontknow:  if i go black depending on how you guys think, i am wanting to respray them myself, but what is needed in type of black paint, or should i give them to someone to powdercoat them, black or silver?

I have found a brilliant place in birmingham that powder coat and polish i am going to get my standard gti wheels polished so they have a deep shine chrome look at a cost of ?150 FOR  ALL FOUR BARGAIN…

I think they look quite good, I had a set on my series 1 for a while a friend has them now on a mk2 here's a picture of them on my car, I think silver or you could do black centres with a silver rim, if its completly black they look a bit like a steel wheel IMO

Are your wheels the same that are on your mk1 in pic, i was wondering whatr centre caps i need to replace the ones on mine.

Heres the car with them on, got them balanced and decided i couldn't wait till respray to find out how'd they look

yep same wheels, they look good on citi too 8) nice to be a bit different to the BBS' that you always see. The centers on mine are the VW tall black plastic ones similar to that off a series one wheel and some other VWs

Are the caps you mention easy to get hold of, as i would like to replace the ones i have, and thank you for your comments, not as good as the black mk1, i am jealous.

Will either of these fit my alloys fella.
