removable hard top for mk 1 cabrio
hi there a few years ago know i remember seeing a mag spread on REMOVEABLE HARD TOP for the mk1 cabrio. it cost a bout 1k ,
the pannels were made of abs plastic or somthing near to it ,
does anyone no were i can buy one new or second hand as a kit or why.

As long as the hood doesn't leak and the seals are good there is not a problem using a Cabriolet in winter. Mine is perfect in these areas and the snow is a lot easier to remove from a fabric roof!!

I agree, I've used mine as a daily for 5 years summer and winter and no problem.
Putting the roof down on a crisp sunny winters day with scarf gloves and heater on is even better than on the hottest sunniest day!

Agreed I love it with roof down in winter I also love the funny looks but more to the point has anyone found any pics of the hard top on a cabriolet would like to have a look out of curiousity cheers

hmmmm, not sure, its different, maybe in one piece which you could store in back of garage over summer would be better ….

not sure half of me likes it the other half thinks it would be better in one piece but the idea of the targa roof I do like maybe if it was 2 piece it would be the best of both worlds lol

soft top is actually better than a tintop in the winter as it has a massive thick insulation pad in it, whereas tintop has a little bit of foam glued to the roof
