parcel shelf woes......

has anyone ever modified a shelf from another volks or other?? i'm sick of driving round in what looks like a pick up with a sloping window! any ideas or suggestions much apreciated.  

someone must have the same dilemma? i'm sick of hearing the sound of my rear suspension!

I made one for a mk1 a few years ago out of mdf. Get yourself down to B&Q
