I've been looking into getting an open air conversion done on the mk1 as I love the look and idea of them! I've heard that people have done it before and that you can fit the one from the 6n polo into the mk1.
Any one know any garages or specialists that would be able to perform the conversion, as I definitely won't be confident enough to do it myself!
Thanks!

I think they are known to leak a lot having read the article and although they look good are more suited to warmer climates.

I love the look of a tintop with a ragtop, and dont really like the look of cabby's. Theyre cool, but just not for me

Do you mean a Webasto roof? If so have a look at this months Golf+ magazine as their cover car this month is a MK1 with one fitted.

Yeah thats the one that I mean, like this one http://vwgolfmk1.org.uk/forum/index.php?page=topicview&id=modifications-and_2%2Fhow-i-got-rid-of-my&= although I want to have one out of the polo. He says in here that his never leaked, so it can be done I just dont want to do it myself as I will most probably mess it up!

I'm not sure mate, trying to find a company that would do it, so I can ask them questions about strengtheningand stuff. Trying to find a company that will do it is fairly difficult
