modern engine conversion

Ive got a 1500 gx mk1 and was wondering what modern engine would be the best and easyest to use as a engine conversion

Also its worth going through a few conversion guides to get a feel as to whats needed and how much its gonna cost you.

I've gone for the 16v KR in my GX as i think the 16v conversions are a great comprimise between cost, reliability and performance. They tend to be the most popular but I wouldnt let that sway you.

Everyone has a different opinion on engine swaps but as far as I'm concerned you have to do the one you want as however expensive or involved it may be youve got to be happy with the end result.
