mk4 interior into a mk1

any1 have any experience with this modification??

i would like to know if the mk4 recaro interior will go into my mk1 without too many modifications… i would like it to be reversible and dont want to drill holes in the body… the seats are black and grey just like my originals so would give it a more updated but not totally ut of place look.

my mate has a mk4 1.8t and im in love with those seats, plus if they were in my car i would loose alot of squeeking too

I've had a quick look into this as i want to do the same thing. I think with the fronts you'll need to weld the bottom half of the mk1 subframe to the top half of the mk4 one. It might be easier as i've only had a quick look under the mk4 seat. Not sure about the back but they don't look too wide for the mk1
