does anybody know if the mk4 steering coloum fit into the mk1 cab g plate :dontknow:

nothing really, ive put in 20vt engine and loom but would like to use the new style key and save some time cutting and splicing wires buy using mk1 1

Would be a major job to get it to fit, custom brackets, redoing the whole steering shaft assembly, be much quicker and easier to make the wiring work on the mk1 column.

yeah thats what going to do. i had good look at the mk1 one, once removed heating duct. a very lot of fabricaton required to make that fit.
