if you had the complete mk2 loom you could convert it to fit your car, otherwise you could get a complete post-82 mk1 or cabrio loom and replace everything.
an alternative is get a 1.8 8v k-jet dizzy and injector inserts, front metal coolant flange, then convert the pb engine to kjet, drop it in and run on the existing managment
