If I ever win the lottery, I will build a rear drive Mk1 with something special up front!
Check out the linkages in the engine bay for the sequential shift!
I dont like the driveshaft running inside the car though. I'm sure the engine could have been mounted lower in the bay to overcome that problem…
I guess the gold bit of kit is a transfer box which allows reverse to be engaged with the stubby lever. Perhaps that needed to be inside the car?!?!
