MK1 Engine Conversion
Hi I?m looking for a bit of advise, used to have a Mk1 Golf many years ago, but out grew the car and moved onto bigger and better. I?ve recently decided to purchased a Project Mk1 GTi and I?m looking to convert it in a big way.
Back in the day the done thing was the G40 and G60 engines, heard a few whispers about 1.8t from the TT being the current weapon of choice. I?m looking for some information as to the any companies out there doing the conversions to the 1.8t or even any suggestions on other mk1 engine conversions. Answers on a postcard

whereabouts are you based? theres quite a few companies that do em.
tbh your prob better asking on Club GTI, not many on here with 20VTs. Grant Motorsport did "Vento Mike"s. Storm developments near reading prob do them, amougst others but you'll want one near you I guess.

i have heard good things about dubsport,
i think they do a audi 2litre conversion allin for ab out3-4grand, and if you double it the will put onein the back to!
ive been looking into it for a while now, and i was quite up for the g60, but now im either tempted for the 1.8 20valve turbo, or the audi 2litre on twin 45 carbs
hope this helps
i know someone who does all peugeot engine swops and mod's
darren spooner owner of spooxs motorpsorts
hes a good bloke, knows what hes on about, and will do anything you ask, worth a phone call
