This chap is doing my wiring for my mk1
You send him your loom from the 20vt engine and he will make it pretty much plug and play for £130!
Thought I would spread the word

Smashing work. Think even I could wire that up if it is just 4 wires

You should put up some more pics, and close ups, so others can see how its done, might be helpful for people who wanted to do a DIY jobby!

Its all wrapped up in tape so you cant really see.
I dont think its fair to put a guide online as it would lose Vagtronics business.
There is lots of info online if you want to do it yourself eg http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?205887-OEM-management-wiring-1-8T-gt-Mk2-harness-install-FAQ
cheers

Fair enough mate, but the whole purpose of forums like this is to gain free knocwledge, companies like Vagtronics exploit the market, Ive built my loom and its not that hard, people like RubJohny charge less do a fantastic job and wont turn anyone down in providing free technical advice.
i was just suggesting it would be good to see what they have done, and what info they provided to you in terms of where to wire your AGU loom into the mk1 etc.
Also i noted they have used inline fuses,i havent used fuses in my loom as the mk1 never needed i, i guess its an added safety precaution, did they use any resistors? as they are really only required if your not going to edit the codes on the ecu.
just would be good to know what your getting!?

all he has done is wired up an external relay to power everything, and left you with live, earth and ign live feed to power everything up. in effect totally bypassing the mk1 fusebox. works just as well really and also is a good plan if you have the crappy ceramic fusebox.
with my looms i integrate the loom to make it as close to how VW would have done it factory, plus i also strip the unneeded wires from both looms and join them together
