lowering springs

hi can anyone tell me roughly how much garages these days charge for fittin lowering springs? or can anyone reccommend somewhere or do it for me , i live in northampton so the closer then better, i have springs already and hoping to buy a mk 1 this weekend

All depends on where you go and your relationship with the garage. I paid ?100.00 to a mate that runs a local garage but that was mates rates, you see I generally take all my cars down there and we've three at the moment so three MOTs and Services a year is nice, everything else he throws in at a cheap cash price.

I assume you're fitting shocks as well as springs though.
