" Engine
There 2 different options for engines in this Guide we will be using the engine for a transverse car to make the conversion as simple as possible .the other option is the longitudal engine but this requires alot of parts to be swapped over so not a good starting point. So engine of choice is an AGU these are found in Audi A3's & Mk4 Golf and possibly other VAG variants "
i want to put 1.8t engine in mk1 gti. But i cant find agu engine. The writing upper is this forum conversion guide. ".the other option is the longitudal engine but this requires alot of parts to be swapped over so not a good starting point" i want learn what is this parts .i hope i can explain.

I dont think he means he wants to fit it longitudally ??
im not sure that longitudinal engine fits mk1 or not. is there any conversion for longitudinal engine ?Phataz1 said
They need a hell of a lot of space forwards of the front wheels mate, I'm not sure there's enough space in a mk1![]()
what is sump ? is it oil house ? longitudinal engine oil house doesnt fit ? i think i can solve inlet manifolt.rubjonny said
the trouble is the parts you need come from a transverse 20v engine anyway! mainly its the sump, inlet and possibly oil filter housing
