a) Taking car to an auto-electrician who would splice adapted engine loom with my 1600 engine loom
or
b) Rewiring whole car to accommodate adapted loom.
Would much prefer to go with option a. Would most auto-electricians be able to sort out the splicing for me or are they likely to run a mile?

but adapting a kr loom to ceramic fusebox is dead simple as underneath it all its basically the same wiring loom as the 1600 gti, you just have an isv control unit on top plus the ecu loom. these dont actually run to the fusebox anyway so simple to drop onto a ceramic fusebox gti loom.
basically, strip them both down and compare, you'll soon see what needs doing!
