jetta headlights

i know these fit onto mk2's fine but anyone know if they'll fit on a mk1 as i prefere this look rather than the round headlights and will i need to modify the front panel?

there is a mk1 Jetta, but good luck finding the bits you need...

To do a Mk1 Jetta front end onto a Mk1 Golf (properly) you'll need lights, indicators, front panel, grille and wings from the Jetta. Not a 5 minute job !
Might be easier to find a Zender square headlight grille for the Mk1 if you like that look. Not the same as the Jetta, but a lot easier !!!

found it all apart from wings off a mk2 will it fit?

None of the Mk2 bits will fit - Mk1 Jetta is what you'd have to go with
