I aim to make a VW Golf Mk1 to Dragracing in class until 1.6T

I thought of putting G40 engine with turbo conversion but need some help to make this project or whether there is someone here who has done the same

Another solution was to find an engine 1.4 or 1.5 or 1.6 (VAG) turbo and put to use in the Golf Mk1 any idea?!
