Golf 2 litre 16valve motor- Leave your comments/ideas please
Hi there guys & girls.
My names zak & i'm all the way from South Africa.
I recently bought a Golf 1 & would like to install a 2 litre 16valve motor
I just wanted to know if i remove the original intake & replace it with a Smaller intake, would it increase the power???

I guess you mean the intake manifold, There used to be an opinion that the narrower dia one gave more torque than the large dia one fitted to the 1.8 kr, (increased airspeed) may not be the same for the 2 ltr and for power would think the large dia better

general consensus is 42mm inlet better for low end, 50mm better for high end. try both, see which you prefer
