Exhaust system for my Mk1 Golf VR6

The backbox of my exhaust on my Mk1 VR6 is a MK3 oval VR6 Scorpion item i think, which is way too big and looks a bit cack!  

Having had a quick look under the car i think the whole systems looks like it's been patched etc, so i'm thinking of getting a new system to attach to the downpipe.  Also when i run the engine for a few seconds moisture drips out of the joins due to it not being tightened up properly by previous owners i guess as it hasn't seen the road yet!

I like the upswept Powersprint and Supersprint backboxs so have found this item on German Ebay.  Would it be ok to run with the VR6 engine?  I guess i can use reducers to marry the downpipe and 60mm system together? It does note in the listing that it is not for public roads i assume because of noise levels.  Is it going to be too loud, i don't want to deafen myself or sound like a Saxo boy!

Might be too loud mate for what you want. I have gone for the jetex and having heard that on JonP's MK1 it does sound really good and isn't too loud. Worth a look
