Dream Vw golf

Hi Guys,

I've got a vw citi 1400 carb.

I'd like to know if you owned this car and wanted to keep the same engine due to low millage, what performance modifications would you do???

Turbo it. 

I like it!!!! But lets say I wanted to fiddle with the internals or basic performance upgrades, What would make my 1400 be better than the rest?

R32 engine conversion might make your car a little faster

Bore it out to 1.5, put in 1.5 pistons, perfect compression for turbo  

Port the head, cam it. 4 branch, and exhaust will see gains. 

Then fueling will need tweaking. 

Bit extreme,but my dream mk1 would be a 911 turbo rwd track monster wouldnt have a clue where to start the conversion,but none the less would be a great motor
