Dotz Zinc
hi there everyone, just wondered what u thought of these wheels, there Dotz Zinc and ive photoshoped them on to my project car im building and they look really good, only one problem they only go down to 17x7 and i think thats just a little to big, i really like 15's on there so as not to lose the handling, i'd maybe consider 16 but 17's are just to big, i know some people do put them on but iv'e had a clipper kit fitted and didnt really want to get in to modding the arches. any surggestions?

definately wouldn't put 17s on - look far too big in my opinion. Think your best off trying to find something similar looking, but in a 15" size. or you could always lower it down and get some nice deep dish 13"ers

Sorry fella I think them wheels are JANK!!!! 17's" are way too big for a mk1 and look cack!!!
In my opinion you cant beat a nice deep dish old skool wheel 13"14"or15"max

ive got 16's on my clipper with a 45mm drop, an i think its sat just nice an the wheels dont look outta place, but its my car an i dont care what every one else thinks, cos if someone built a car on what everyone else liked it would look sh1t, theres that many styles that people like your never gunna satisfy everyone's taste,
some moden wheel's suit old skool cars, just like some old skool wheels suit moden cars,
if you like them rims buy em, if any one laffs at you just say
"chew the bark off my big fat log, ya git"

WOW! someones in a good mood!
if batman04 didn't want evri1s opinion on the wheels then why post a thread asking for our opinions?
i agree that peoples tastes vary but would you rather everyone lies about disliking a set of wheels, leading to a very expensive mistake and his car looking and feeling like a blinged up tractor or would you rather we all tell the truth and give our honest opinion regardless of batman04's personal taste in wheels as we were asked!!?

ok everyone, thanks for the comments, glad to see a reaction, but in my opinion Dotz Zine look retro, there angular lines fit the lines of the golf, i admit that they are slightly bigger than i would like but lowered on 17 i think would still look good, on my golf i havent gone for the old skool look, mine is modern with a old skool twist, the size of the wheels are 17 x7 et40 wish i hope will slide snuggle under the arches. anyway. experimenting is the name of the game! and without it the vw dub scene would go know where.

I personally dislike the look of those rims also…and the Dotz brand is hardly inspiring in the VW world is it?? been around what.. 2 minutes? but each to their own……on the other hand if you want a set of nice looking 15`s in a deep dish why not get some of these? i think next to BBS originals these are the newts noots  LIMITED OFFER ONLY THOUGH SO MAKE YOUR MIND UP QUICK! wheel mistakes can be expensive ones, do it right first time i say!!!
