Coolant Hoses
Hi,
I bought an AGU engine some time ago for my conversion, most of the coolant pipes have had a hacksaw taken to them, I was looking at
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mk4-Golf-GTI-Bora-1-8T-Full-Set-Genuine-OEM-Coolant-Pipes-hoses-Used-AUM-AGU-/271082231263?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f1dc295df
and wondered if it would fit an AGU engine?
Thanks

the hoses you linked will fit the engine no worries, but they might not line up with the inlets/outlets for the coolant system on your car.
chances are you'll need to use a combination of 1.8T and Mk1 hoses, and some of them may need to be cut and joined using bits of tube, like the metal pipe on your hoover for example.
at the end of the day, so long as it doesn't leak you're laughing, and any hoses will do just fine - it's just that you might have a bit of a headache deciding how to plumb it all up!
one other option you might want to consider is these flexible hoses, they've saved me on more than one occasion!

hope that helps

Okay, I think I've got a full spare set of mk1 hoses so I should be just about covered if I get these. I guess I'll have a better idea when I get going!
