clear indictaors

i know ppl will say it personal taste but i have a dark blue rivage that is untouched. i am contemplating changing the front bumper indicators and side repeaters from orange to clear.
i just wondered what ppl thought of this and their opinions if i should or not. dont want the car to look modified but just wanted a general reaction to doing this and the best place to go to get them.

If you want to do it - DO IT!!

To be honest, I'm more of a standard man but my Campaign now has clear front indicator lenses - I think its a subtle mod that looks right for the car.

On yours I think it would look spot on without looking too modded - do it, do it, ah go arn, do it!!

(Easy to put back to standard if you don't like the result and sell the bits on ebay for a profit :wink:   )

Don't need to be a member to post pics. Upload pics somewhere (photobucket good place) and then when posting click the Img button just above where you type your message, paste in the http link to the image and click Img button again. Job done. Remember to resize pic to 600x400 for ease of viewing…

Speak to mk1turbotechnics I think he has just ordered a bulk for the mk1 guys and will do a really good price.
He is on Hols at the moment but will give him a ring to see how much they are. Will deffo be cheaper than any where else you can get them.

I have got a set on mine and you can wire the side lights into them also which looks pretty cool at night  8)

Not sure I understand this. You mean whenever the side lights are on the side repeaters stay on all the time as well, except when you're using one, in which case it flashes off and on as opposed to on and off?

you can actually buy ready done sets but I think I only managed to find them in crystal look which didn't really appeal to me, I basically just fitted a side light bulb into a spare set of indicator housings, and wired them in to come on with side lights

the reason mine are dim yellow like the sidelights in the headlights and not amber like the indicators is that I've got clear lenses on my indicators, and have used a 'silver bulb' as in one which looks silver but shines amber this means I don't have to have an amber filter in so the side light just shines through clear

you can obviously just have them shining amber very easily too, just light american style running lights…

that is ace. i wudnt have a clue how to 'wire them in with the sidelights'

i cud get the clear indicators and fit a new bulb but thats it, wiring wise i am a numpty and wud prob blow things.     booo
