Changing engine mounts from 1.3 to 16V... Please help???
Im really stuck and would love for someone to help me out. Ive got a 1.3 driver which is all stripped down ready for a rebuild and i've bought a 1.8 16v engine to go in but i don't know of anyone who could change the engine mounts for me . I live in Dorset so somewhere near me would be preferred but if the worst comes to worst i will travel. I know all you guys are the ones to ask so please please please, im desperate to get the project rolling again. Thanks. Dave

Anyone with a welder should be able to do this for you…
You need to carefully remove the driverside mount by drilling out the welds. Take this mount and turn it upside down, move it backwards about 8 inches and you will see a groove in the chassis rail. there are two cut out notches on the mount which need to line up with this groove. Weld it back on (More weld is good - Run some along the sides etc…), job done!
