Cabriolet Handling

Im thinking about selling my Mk2 G60 and starting a Cabby project but just want to hear peoples views on the handling of a cabriolet.

I used to have a Mk1 running a 2.0 16v on bike carbs and it was a fantastic car (shouldnt have sold it) that handled great but Ive always liked the Mk1 cabriolet and wondered what they handle like with a fast motor in them. Id upgrade the obvious things like poly bushes, decent coilovers, ARB's and the 2 front and 1 rear strut brace. I know its never going to handle like a tin top but how bad are they?

It would be good to hear owners views.

iv put a 20v turbo in my wifes bud and tbh it handles really well.....no worries! :wink:
