brake upgrade??
Can anyone tell me if a 22mm master cylinder from a passat will be ok together with a servo from a mk2 golf 16v to put on a mk1 golf 1.1??
With the passat master do you still need to split the lines with t pieces or will it just fit straight on??
And what year passat do I need to get the master from??
CHEERS
much appreciated

Hi - just get servo and master cylinder off a Passat. Not sure of years, but something like F plate onwards for the Passat (the models with 'no grille' if you know what I mean - B3 model type I think they are). These should have 4 outlets on the MC so you can connect all 4 brake lines up and use a pedal mounted switch off a Scirocco / early Audi, etc for the brake lights, or use T pieces to retain the brake light pressure switch(es) on the MC.
Loads of brake info on here if you do a search.
Cheers,
Mark
