bike carb help info

hi im thinking of goin down the bike carb route for my clipper
has anyone done this with good results ? or is it best to go for twin 40s ?
dont know how easy bike carbs are to set up and if you have to work on the jeting etc
ive been offerd a set of cbr 600 carbs and some parts of the manifold not including the silicone hose , the guy thats got them has changed his build plans and not needed anymore , but it makes me think there more trouble than there worth .
anyone with any views / ideas let me know
