The Audi TB has bigger internals therefore it flows more air is the theory. Hence why they make a difference on the MK1 GTI. The WUR can be plumbed in to react to vacuum eg when the throttle is flawed and will compensate by erichening the mixture (you should see on the Audi WUR that it has a pipe that runs off to a vacuum pipe in the engine bay). you can also adjust some WUR's by drilling out the back of the unit to get to the screw which allows adjustment of fuel pressure.
