Hi all,
In the process of an ABF conversion and Iv got everything out of my donor Seat ibiza apart from the loom. Every is disconnected now it is just going through the bulkhead. Basically my question is whether I can just cut the loom at the bulk head and this will be enough or should I continue to the fusebox. Also, where do people recommend the best place to put the ECU into the mk1.
many thanks

I certainly wouldn't cut it, especially when you can just unplug it from the fuse box.

you could cut it if you like, as you will be cutting it later anyway. however if you do cut it you'll be making your life much harder later on when you try to identify what all the wires do, its still doable but it'll just require more brain power
if its a post-96 be sure to take the immobiliser control box and all of its wiring loom, plus the box itself obviously, the key and the reader coil from the ign lock. take the diagnostics port too, and the diagnostics jumper block from above the fusebox
