ABF manifold
Whats the best fit, just read on line some poor chap had a fire even when heat wrapped,
any personal recomendations?
No fire wanted may have kids in car sometimes not often though.

Went out in mine last night for an hour and after felt the boot, cold so my plate is working
just stunk of heatwrap lol. Best off to go ott on it mate.

Sorry to hear what happend to you Brad with your car, a big thanks for shareing, glad no one was hurt.
Yes will be keeping an eye on my manifold once ive done the transplant.

I have now spent ages researching this manifold.
Just spoke to Storm developements they now do a long block manifold its £334.20 inclusive. £13 delivery Lambda sensor £25 extra.
Not buying just yet but i think this maybe my best option.
Opinions welcome.

Mines storm developments. Good and week made just see how close it is when fitted to see what cautions to take.

Brad was your this new long block version? because they do two now and it sounded as this was a recent developement. not 100% sure though.

didnt want to start new thread when you guys have already got some experience already..
im about to convert my sportline to abf engine, got a dub power tall block manifold, my question is how much heat wrap do i need to purchase.??
i have to order online so want to get enough in one hit..

I have no expierence with your manifold but as already suggested get loads of wrap on and also a heat shield.
That's i believe with all 16v manifolds. You don't want a fire on board.

28m on mine
worth it. Instead of the steel tie wraps I suggest using jubilee clips at top of manifold to secure the heat wrap for longer.
All 4 branches regardless are close, some more than others it seems.

was told to buy decent wrap, as chear stuff tends to go brittle and crumble off..?
so my next question is where did you lot purchase your's from and what width do you suggest.?

eBay special on mine but not the cheap looking crap on there, there's some that looks decent. That's what I have.
