hi all…..
nearly completed my abf conversion and have a few question's perhaps some of you might be able to shed some light on…
firstly my clutch has got really heavy.. fitted an uprated clutch but its got that heavy it broke a brand new cable after 5/6 compression's..
secondly cant seem to get my rev counter to work..
any ideas..???:ocf_emoticons__BangHead:cheers

as for clutch, no need for uprated ones on abf std sachs is more than good enough. dont think there is much you can do if uprated item is too heavy for cables to cope with! its not the hole on the bulkhead thats gone though is it, and cutting into the cable? if so get a couple repair patches from gsf and glue/weld/rivet them either side of bulkhead to strengthen it

cheers for the reply….
it's not the bulk head as thats got repair plates attached, the cable pulled apart under the pressure of pressing the clutch pedal…
it broke apart at the plastic clip that connects to pedal.. cable pulled through clip…???
anyone else had issue with heavy clutch using black diamond stage 1 kit….

hi- forgive me if I am missing something, but i cant seem to find much info on the site about abf conversions. is there a guide anywhere? I have seen a few comments about potential issues with tall block but thats about it. im off to buy a mk3 tomorrow, as the kr in my mk1 is just a tw*t!

sorry for going cold on this…
sorted the clutch cable issue, firstline cables are rubbish….
fitted gemo cable and working fine…
