18t into mk1 help

hi ive got the chance to have an 18 t enginge does any one no what i will need to do this eg gear box loom ect...or do you no any body who has done this converion...my car is a 1.6 mk1 gti cheers

there is one being done on here now, don't know who it is though have a search you should be able to find some info.

lump and box(225 bam gives you better clearence at the rear), management,exhaust,brakes,suspension,gear selector mods,lots of time and other stuff.

if you buy a 20v lump make sure you get the keys and clocks and ecu with it there all linked together as an immobilser and a pain to get around.
you can use a g60 gearbox with it if you dont get the 20v one its a bit easier to put in as well

Don't want to drive you away, but there is a lot of info and help on the Club Gti Forum about 1.8T swaps… Just come back and keep us up to date!
