16v mounts for mk1 conversion

I'm not sure how i've missed this but the engine mount i have for the drives side is just a round thing with the bush in the middle like this
AVS Car Parts

It seems i need one like this though
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK1-CADDY-MK1-JETTA-MK1-PETROL-ENGINE-CONVERSION-MOUNT-BRACKET-/251086426374?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a75ead106

Obviously i'm not going to buy it off that greedy twerp! Is it an item thats available anywhere other than second hand?

All I had when I started the engine conversion btw was an empty bay and a 9a block. kinda had to build the lot up from scratch - dont do this! get a donor mk2 16v!

It depends what you call the mount - there's 3 parts, the bit that's welded onto the chassis leg, the insert (your first link) and the bit that bolts to the engine and includes the insert (second link). People use the same term for all 3 bits, at different times.

Normally you'd unbolt the engine side mount (second link) from your previous big block engine, and bolt it to the 9A. You ought to replace the insert at the time though, since they are prone to wear.

Sorry, you'll need to give a bit more info than that. 3 different types of what? What are the differences between them? How are they described on ETKA? etc

3 different types of bracket that ive shown in the 2nd link, for the 1.5-1.8 engines. They seem to be of similar shape, but have different bolting arrangments - which one will bolt to the 16v block? thanks

side mount for big block is the same on petrol models, i think the diesel one is different though, and possibly automatic. a manual 1.5-1.8 mk1, cab and rocco side bracket will do you fine,. worst thing you have to do is faff with the metal belt cover on some to get it to fit right, maybe trim the plastics but pretty sure thats only mk3 blocks and newer you need to faff with
